Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. KFDB Connect is a professional networking platform for the Indian film industry — directors, actors, producers, crew, casting professionals, and allied creative workers. By registering, you confirm you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may not share your account, create fake profiles, or impersonate another person or organisation. All activity under your account is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@kfdbconnect.com immediately.

Your profile, photos, filmography, and other content you upload remain your property. By posting content on KFDB Connect, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the Platform to provide our services. We do not claim ownership of your work.

When you send direct messages or upload casting media, you grant us the right to store and transmit that content as needed to deliver the service. You acknowledge that direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted and that reported conversations may be reviewed by our team.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile. Do not include false credits, fabricated awards, or misrepresented experience. Fake filmographies mislead other professionals and damage the community.

KFDB Connect is a professional space. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse any user
• Post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or fake job listings
• Impersonate a recruiter, casting director, or production house you are not affiliated with
• Scrape, extract, or bulk-download user data without our written permission
• Use the contact access system to collect data for marketing purposes without the contact's consent
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or sexually explicit
• Use direct messaging to harass, threaten, or send unsolicited commercial messages or spam to other members
• Send, through messages or any other feature, content that is illegal or sexually explicit — and, in particular, any sexual content involving minors, which we will report to the authorities
• Misuse, copy, scrape, screenshot for redistribution, or share outside the Platform another member's casting details, headshots, or contact information
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data through any technical exploit

The contact request system lets you request access to another professional's phone number or email address. When you receive contact details through an approved request, you may use them only for legitimate professional communication related to film projects or work opportunities. Using contact details for marketing, spam, or any purpose outside professional networking is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

KFDB Connect includes direct messaging for professional communication between members.

• Use messaging for legitimate professional purposes. Harassment, threats, spam, unsolicited commercial messages, and illegal or sexually explicit content are prohibited. We have zero tolerance for any sexual content involving minors and will report it to the authorities.
• Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted. If a conversation is reported, our team may review recent messages from it in order to act on the report.
• You can block any member and report a conversation at any time.
• You are responsible for the content you send. We may remove content and suspend or remove accounts that misuse messaging.

When you add someone to a crew list or they add you, their name and role in that list may be visible to other list members. This is part of how collaboration works on the Platform. Do not add professionals to lists without their knowledge or for deceptive purposes.

KFDB Connect helps connect film professionals. We do not verify the accuracy of job listings, and we are not a party to any employment or contractual agreement made between users. Always exercise your own judgement when responding to opportunities. Report suspicious listings through Settings › Support & Legal › Report Abuse.

A Studio Page is a business profile attached to your individual account. Each account may have one Studio Page. By creating a Studio Page you confirm that you are the owner or authorised representative of the business listed. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information on your Studio Page, including business name, contact details, services, and portfolio links.

Studio Pages are not permanently deleted — they are deactivated (hidden from the directory) while your data is preserved. This is a deliberate design to protect the integrity of linked records such as job postings. If you need your studio data fully removed, contact us at support@kfdbconnect.com.

Do not create Studio Pages for businesses you are not affiliated with, or use a Studio Page to impersonate a production house or agency.

An Organisation Account is a standalone account for a company, production house, OTT platform, casting agency, or allied organisation in the film industry. It is not linked to any individual profile.

Accuracy: By creating an Organisation Account you confirm that you are the owner or an authorised representative of the organisation listed. You are responsible for the accuracy of all information on the account, including the organisation name, contact details, services, and portfolio links. Do not create Organisation Accounts for companies you are not affiliated with.

Suspension consequences: An Organisation Account that violates these Terms — including misrepresentation, contact misuse, or posting fraudulent job listings — may be suspended or permanently removed. Active job listings under the account will be closed. Where applicable, linked individual accounts may also be reviewed.

Contact use: Contact details listed on an Organisation Account (phone numbers, email addresses) may only be used by other users for legitimate professional communication directly related to film projects or work opportunities. Using these details for marketing, spam, or any purpose outside professional networking is a violation of these Terms.

Ownership transfer: Organisation Account credentials are personal and may not be transferred to another person or organisation. If the authorised representative changes, contact us at support@kfdbconnect.com so we can assist with the transition.

Performers may create a Casting Profile to be discovered for acting work.

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your casting information. Do not misrepresent your experience, appearance, representation, or availability.
• When you publish a casting profile, your basic casting information becomes visible to other members, and your sensitive casting details (appearance attributes, representation contact, availability, and casting-only images) become available to members who are granted Casting Access.
• Casting Access is for legitimate casting and recruitment only. If you are granted access to another member's casting details, you may use them solely to consider and contact that performer for genuine casting or work opportunities. Using casting details for marketing, data harvesting, or any other purpose is prohibited.
• You may not scrape, bulk-collect, copy, screenshot for redistribution, or share outside the Platform any other member's casting data, headshots, or contact information.
• Misusing casting data or Casting Access may result in revocation of access, suspension, or permanent removal of your account.

We may suspend or permanently remove accounts that violate these Terms, post fake profiles, engage in harassment, misuse the contact system, misuse direct messaging (such as harassment or prohibited content), misuse casting data or Casting Access, or otherwise harm the community. We aim to investigate reports within 48 hours. You will receive an acknowledgement within 24 hours of filing a report. In serious cases (e.g., harassment, fraud), we may act without prior notice.

You can deactivate your account at any time through Settings › Account Centre. You can permanently delete your account through Settings › Account Centre › Delete Account.

KFDB Connect's branding, design, software, and technology are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute them without our written permission.

KFDB Connect is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, the accuracy of other users' profiles, or successful outcomes from connections made on the Platform. We are a tool for networking — results depend on the professionals using it.

To the extent permitted by Indian law, KFDB Connect is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including disputes between users, failed job applications, or misuse of contact information by other users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
